The space

A modern build, this well-set up studio apartment comes with a king bed that can also be split into two singles along with a sofa bed. There is heating/cooling fully fitted air conditioning, free wifi and a fully equipped kitchen with everything you need should you wish to cook during your stay.

A large smart internet-connected Tv, dvd player and Bluetooth stereo are in the living area for your entertainment.

There is no allocated parking with this studio however there is on-street parking in the area. Street parking is restricted to two hours at a time before having to move your car between the hours of 8am and 6pm Monday to Friday. We generally recommend guests do not come with cars. Some guests who have needed parking have been able to rent parking through short-term parking rental websites online.

There is a small garden at the front of the studio which is available for guest use but please note the walkway at the side is also used by the apartment above for occasional street access.

We will assume all bookings require the bed to be made up as a king bed unless we receive a request for it to be converted to two single beds. If you require two single beds then please advise us when booking.

The neighbourhood

McMahons Point is a harbourside suburb on the lower North Shore of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. McMahons Point is located 3 kilometres north of the Sydney central business district.

McMahons Point sits on the peninsula flanked by Berrys Bay to the west and Lavender Bay to the east. The lower tip of the peninsula is known as Blues Point, which offers expansive views of Port Jackson (Sydney Harbour).

Once predominantly working-class, it is now among Sydney's most exclusive localities. McMahons Point is primarily a medium-to-high-density residential area and is bordered by the surrounding suburbs of Waverton, North Sydney and Lavender Bay. Real estate north of Sydney Harbour in this collection of villages is set at a premium due to the area's low crime rate, cafes, restaurants, pubs, parks, accessibility to bus, train and ferry networks plus expansive views of the Sydney City CBD.

This is a quiet building and we expect all guests to be considerate of the neighbours. Please treat the apartment as your own but please no wild parties. We kindly ask guests to wash and put away all used items from the kitchen and leave any rubbish in the external rubbish bins when they leave.

If you require use of the sofa bed for your stay please book for 3 people to ensure the small additional cost for the bedding is included in your booking. Occupancy of one or two people is understood to just use the main bed. If you need the main bed made up as two single beds instead of a king bed please tell us when booking otherwise we will provide a king bed as standard.

Prior to arrival, like staying in a hotel, we ask guests to fill in a registration form to ensure we have full contact details for them. This form also provides more information about the property and how to ensure you get a 5 star review.

Guest access

The studio is for your exclusive use and there is also a garden area with seating outside for you to use.

As a professional holiday rental agency we are available to answer any questions or help with any problems that crop up. Unlike part time casual owner-managers we do this for a living professionally, it is our core focus, we hold professional licences to do this and we are ALWAYS just a message away if you need us. You won't be left high and dry with us!

Other things to note

Please note there are a small number of flights of stairs up to 6 stairs each up to the front door of this apartment from street level. They are very manageable but please do not book this property if you plan to come with luggage you are not able to carry up some stairs. We try to help where we can but it is not always possible for us to do so.

All the apartments we manage come with a welcome letter and a full instruction manual so you know how everything works to ensure you can get the most out of your stay. The manual also contains many menus from local restaurants to give you some idea of what is available nearby and also information on tourist activities available in Sydney. There is also a local map with some highlights such as the local supermarket and train station plus maps of Sydney for those not familiar with the area. All bedding and towels (note one bath towel per person booked) are included along with beginner basics such as tea, coffee, sugar, milk, shampoo, bodywash and toilet paper to get you through the first few days.

Prior to arrival we ask all guests to quickly fill in some contact information and tell them a little bit more about how we hope they'll look after the apartment.
